Automated Home System uses sensor technology to turn lights on and off and adjust the level of lighting. Sensors can be placed in rooms or cupboards throughout the home and when the sensor is activated the light turns on. The system can be programmed to turn off after a certain amount of time where no activity is detected or can be switched to manual override. Sensor lighting can be useful to highlight specific cupboards and shelves.
Lock Up Safes – there are many types of ‘lock up’ safes for the home. The cost and complexity varies, with security provided by combination, keypads or keys. There are advanced ‘back to base services’ which can alert the carer, or a security service, if there are attempts to open the safe illegally.
